Meet Your Career Ambassadors!

The Career Ambassador program is made up of trained students who can assist their peers with resume review, job or internship search, and direct students to all Career Center services. The Career Ambassadors are available most days during the school year for walk-in hours, or by appointment. All of these services are free of charge. Career Ambassadors can be found in the career resource center on the upper level of the Romano Student Alumni Center

Name: Johana Duarte
Major: Accounting
Expected Graduation Year: 2014

Career Goals and Aspirations
I plan to become a Certified Public Accountant and work for an important Company. I will like to work at a different country as an accountant in one of the big firms, whether it is a bank or a corporation. I plan to stay involved with college students by providing any feedback of the real world to them, the way I receive the feedback by alumni/outside guests.

Why did I become a Career Ambassador?
I wanted to be able to spread the word to students about the importance of career planning, while having an up close and personal tour into the exciting world of career services.  I want students to see me as a useful resource with any questions or concerns they may have about resume development or anything that deals with the events sponsored by Career Services.  I want to be able to make a difference to the students by encouraging them that it's never to early to start developing life skills.

Name: Matt Dybus
Major – Business and Finance
Expected Graduation – May 2015

The reason I became a Career Ambassador was because I know and understand the importance of having a career in the future. I feel that my personality and skills will help the current students not only build a connection to their major but a connection with the employers in their selected field.

Name: Angel Matos
Major –Undecided
Expected Graduation – May 2016

Why did I become a career ambassador?
I have been exposed to the professional world for quite some time and because of that I have picked up skills and tips that are beneficial for a future career. I plan to share my first-hand experience, along with the new skills I will acquire as a career ambassador, to aid my fellow students in any way I can. I want to become an asset to the students by easing their minds of any concerns or anxieties and preparing them for an exciting journey in the career world.
