As the Admissions Office Assistant, Lisa supports the Admissions team and helps process applications. Her favorite part of the job is her colleagues. “They are supportive and always willing to help one another,” Lisa says. “I enjoy coming to work every day!”
The admissions process can be overwhelming for prospective students, so Lisa says she and her colleagues aim to help address questions and concerns that arise along the way. “I think it’s important to communicate with applicants and provide detailed responses to their inquiries,” she says. “This way, they feel confident through the entire process.”
Lisa traveled across the country to earn a degree in psychology from the University of the Pacific and later returned to her home state of New Jersey to attend Fairleigh Dickinson University where she earned a Master’s degree in Human Resources. Before she joined St. Thomas Aquinas College, she worked at AT&T Wireless in human resources, employee training and recruiting, and process improvements. She says that her past job experiences gave her the opportunity to work with many different people and develop strong communication skills, assets in her current position.
In her free time, Lisa enjoys exercising, spending time with her family and hitting the beach.
