Brad Sarno ‘06 began his role as the College’s Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Communications after being appointed to the position by Director of Athletics Nicole Ryan in 2021. Around campus, most individuals know Brad as “The Voice of the Spartans,” and he previously held the title of Coordinator of Athletics & Student Activities Programming for 11 years, where he was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Club and Intramural Sports Programs, along with the College’s yearbook publication, The Thomist.
In addition to being the “voice” of our Spartan community, Brad also holds the role of advisor for College’s radio station, WSTK. WSTK is one of the largest student-run organizations on the campus of St. Thomas Aquinas College, and its primary function is to provide the college community with music and entertainment via weekly radio programs, as well as the latest local, national, and campus news and information.
During Communications Staff Appreciation Week, the St. Thomas Aquinas College Men’s Ice Hockey team noted: “Brad is an integral part of the Athletic Department staff. His commitment to Ice Hockey and other athletic programs is always at 100 percent! He prides himself on creating a positive game day environment and consistently recognizes the accomplishments of our players and coaches.”
Brad graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas College in 2006 and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. He is also a member of College Sports Communicators/CSC (formerly CoSIDA or College Sports Information Directors of America) and serves on the St. Thomas Aquinas College Alumni Association Board of Directors. When in season, Brad also serves as the Control Room Operations Coordinator for the New York Boulders of the Frontier League (11th Season).
