Mike Murphy has served St. Thomas Aquinas College with distinction for 44 years—as a faculty member, Chair, and Dean of the School of Business for 23 years. He has shaped generations of students, mentored countless faculty and staff, and left an indelible mark on the spirit of the College. At our STAC Alumni Hall of Fame 2025 event, the College conferred upon him, honoris causa, the degree of Doctor of Commercial Science—with all the rights and privileges pertaining thereto. Mike was also named Emeritus Faculty—a special designation we reserve for those who have made STAC a better place in every way. He is someone who made working at the College better, more meaningful, and more joyful.
