When: Thursday, October 16 (rain date Thursday, October 23) from 11:30am-5:30pm
Where: Sparkill Creek behind Fitzpatrick Village at St. Thomas Aquinas College
This is a volunteer event (service hours letters will be available) where we will be planting 200 trees and shrubs provided by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation’s Trees for Tributaries program in order to protect and restore the Sparkill Creek. Volunteers should register at this link. Please wear appropriate clothing for outdoor work, including protection against mosquitoes and ticks. Planting equipment will be provided, but volunteers are encouraged to bring their own shovels and gloves if they have them.
