Some people leave a lasting impression wherever they go, and Gary Felter ’77 was one of those people. A beloved classmate, teammate, husband, father, and friend, Gary embodied the values of leadership, perseverance, sportsmanship, and a deep love for St. Thomas Aquinas College and Spartan baseball.
While at STAC, Gary served as class president, captained the baseball team, and excelled both in the classroom and on the field. His leadership, character, and commitment to others left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. Following graduation, Gary built a successful career, but above all, he was a devoted husband and proud father who cherished his family.
To honor Gary’s life and enduring legacy, classmates from the Classes of 1975–1980 established the Gary Felter Memorial Baseball Scholarship Fund. The scholarship will support future Spartan baseball student-athletes who demonstrate leadership, teamwork, academic achievement, and a passion for the game.
