Meet Lucille Bluntschli, a graduate student in the General MBA program. Lucille graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Management in 2023, and now works as a grad assistant at St. Thomas Aquinas College in Student Development and the Career Center. During her time as a grad assistant, Lucille has learned valuable skills such as time management, professional communication, and administrative skills. She notes: “I have learned a lot about time management, and the best ways to utilize and balance my projects for my graduate assistantship, my own school work in the grad program, and also my personal life. This graduate assistantship has taught me how to professionally communicate with staff members, other co-workers, as well as fellow students.”
Lucille communicates with individuals on campus to coordinate and set up events for students and the College community. She found out about the graduate assistant opportunity through word of mouth, and she recommends that every grad student apply for one of these roles as they are valuable experiences for professional development.
Lucille’s advice? “It’s important to build professional relationships for future opportunities so make sure you take advantage of every networking opportunity available to you.”
