Earn your degree on your time

Our 36 credit program can be completed in two years or at a pace that best suits your schedule. Designed with working professionals in mind, all classes are conveniently held in the late afternoon and evening, with some online options as well. Complete your practicum in the spring or summer under the supervision of a certified literacy specialist.

The MSED in Literacy Education equips today’s educators with advanced training for application in the classroom and in specialized leadership roles. Choose the option that best matches your career goals: Early Childhood & Childhood Literacy, Birth-Grade 6, or Middle Childhood & Adolescence Literacy, Grades 5-12.

In addition to the MSED in Literacy, St. Thomas Aquinas College also offers master’s programs in Special Education and Special Education with an Autism Specialization.

Graduates of the MSED programs are invited to return to St. Thomas Aquinas College to pursue post-master’s certificates in special education/special education with Autism specialization at alumni discounted rates to qualify for additional certifications and salary increases.
