Henry Rönnberg ’27, a Finance major and Economics minor at St. Thomas Aquinas College is a student who says “yes” to new challenges, new opportunities, and experiences that push him to grow.
This summer, that mindset took him to Copenhagen, Denmark, where he interned with Nordea Asset Management’s Private Markets team. The experience gave Henry an opportunity to explore the investment world firsthand, learning alongside professionals in an international financial environment. This internship experience also reinforced his goal of pursuing a career in finance after graduation.
Henry says: “If there is anything I have learned at STAC, it is to always strive for greatness in anything and everything you do.” Henry’s ambition is to become the best version of himself as a son, brother, partner, friend, teammate, and, eventually, an impactful finance professional.
Athletics has played an important role in shaping Henry’s journey. He feels that combining academics with collegiate tennis at STAC is one of the best decisions he has ever made. He credits his Coach Daniel Rockhill for believing in him and giving him the opportunity to compete in the sport he loves while pursuing his education. Through competition and being part of a team, he has learned lessons in accountability, resilience, teamwork, and leading by example.
Henry’s advice to students beginning their own college and internship journeys reflects the approach he has taken throughout his time at STAC: “Say YES. Challenge yourself with new responsibilities, get involved, build something, meet new people, and always stay curious. Make sure to utilize STAC’s resources and amazing community. Go introduce yourself and sit down with the GREAT career professionals in the Career Center. Ask your professors, faculty, and peers for advice. Apply for an on-campus opportunity. And join the STAC Business Club!”
