Jackie DiNuzzo attended St. Thomas Aquinas College on a full athletic scholarship for Basketball and Softball. She was a 4-year starter in softball for Kristen Sullivan, Barbara Vano, and Tom Slocum, with two years at third base and two years as a catcher. She was a 3-time All-CACC selection in Softball: once each as a third baseman, catcher, and utility. She is in the College’s Women’s Softball record books as 2nd All-Time in Career batting average with a .389 average and is a member of the 100 Hit Club. For the Lady Spartans Basketball program, she was a 4-time CACC Conference Champion with four National Tournament appearances. She was a 3-time All-CACC selection, a 2-time Bill Bradley Academic All-American, an NAIA Div II 2nd Team All-American, a 1st team All-Metropolitan selection and finished her career with over 1,300 points.
Jackie graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas College in 2000 with a B.S. in Criminal Justice and returned to the College to receive her Master’s Degree in Education. Shortly after collegiate sports ended, she joined the Orangetown Women’s Softball League, playing for The Porch in Orangeburg alongside exceptionally talented women. She also plays for Valentine Electric in the co-ed American League having been a part of 14 league championships.
Jackie is in her 19th year teaching Social Studies and 20th year coaching basketball and softball in the North Rockland Central School District. The Spring 2024 season marks her 15th year as Head Coach of North Rockland Varsity Softball, a job she truly treasures and has experienced some of her greatest softball memories. Jackie resides in Nyack, NY with her wife, Rachel.
