Matthew Quinones studied Sport Management at St. Thomas Aquinas College and graduated in 2021. He then continued his studies to earn his MBA in Business Management, graduating in 2023. Now, working as a Coordinator of Group Sales & Ticket Services at Yankee Stadium, his days are full of exciting moments with fans and his fellow colleagues.
Matthew notes that his office is located inside of Yankee Stadium, and on a typical day, he works alongside team members in two different departments: Group Sales and Premium Services: “Working for the Yankees has afforded me with many, many highlights and moments that I’ve truly enjoyed. Getting to meet former & current Yankee players, coaches and broadcast members has been an amazing experience. I think my favorite part is getting to meet the fans and hearing their stories. We have people who have been coming to the stadium since the 1950s and others who travel from all over the world just to visit the stadium. It is incredibly inspiring to see how the work we do impacts so many lives in so many ways.”
When asked what advice he would give to current STAC students when it comes to pursuing their dreams and igniting their passions, Matthew discussed the importance of being involved on campus: “get involved in as much as you can while still providing yourself the time and energy needed to manage your schoolwork & personal life. Getting involved can help you receive more well-rounded experiences, which is important to many companies. Your time at STAC is what you make of it, so make it the perfect stepping stone to getting where you want to be!”
