Meenakshi Gajria’s impact is immeasurable. She became Chair of the Division of Education in 1999 and Dean of the School of Education in 2012, leading with wisdom, integrity, and a clear vision for excellence. Under her leadership, our Education program achieved and maintained prestigious NCATE accreditation—elevating the College’s standing nationwide. At our STAC Alumni Hall of Fame 2025 event, the College conferred upon her, honoris causa, the degree of Doctor of Pedagogy—with all the rights and privileges pertaining thereto. Meenakshi was also named Emeritus Faculty—a title we give only to those who have made a lasting impact on the life of the College.
Now, as she embarks on retirement, we are excited to announce our goal to create a scholarship in Meenakshi’s name, to honor her dedication to preparing compassionate and skilled educators.
