Administrative / ProfesSIONAL POSITIONS
St. Thomas Aquinas College has an opportunity available for a Campus Safety & Security Officer. This position is responsible for providing a safe and secure school environment, fostering an optimal learning environment and acting as a deterrent to unsafe or poor behavior by patrolling the campus, monitoring student behavior, enforcing school and college policies/procedures, intervening in physical encounters, monitoring security cameras, monitoring visitors, reporting unsafe or unhealthy conditions and assisting administrators and/or public officials with emergency or investigative situations. Positions may require varying work hours and days including evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Patrol buildings and grounds to ensure security and address unauthorized presence, rule infractions, and irregularities such as fire hazards and leaks.
- Monitor surveillance systems and respond appropriately, including contacting police or fire departments in emergencies.
- Respond promptly to fights, fires, accidents, and medical emergencies.
- Guard against theft of college property and enforce campus rules by expelling violators.
- Permit entry to authorized individuals, check IDs, log visitors, and regulate traffic during daily operations and special events.
- File daily activity reports on property damage, unusual occurrences, and equipment malfunctions, and maintain security logs.
- Oversee and maintain security equipment and radios, and monitor the College phone system when switchboard operators are off duty.
- Handle mail delivery between the Post Office and STAC mailroom during day shifts.
- Provide assistance and information to students, faculty, staff, and the public, and assist with mandated fire drills and entrance control.
- Uphold a professional, courteous, and approachable demeanor at all times.
Available Shifts:
- 4pm-12 midnight
- 12 midnight- 8am
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Security officer experience preferred
- Requires valid driver’s license
- NYS security guard registration
- Cannot have been convicted of a ‘NYS crime’ or out of state conviction comparable to a ‘NYS crime’
- Ability to meet physical demands of the position

Salary Range:

St. Thomas Aquinas College invites applications for the position of Associate Director of Athletics. Under the direction of the Director of Athletics the Associate Director assists in the administration of the College Division II Athletic Program and the intercollegiate Athletic Program. In conjunction with the Director, the Associate Director serves as the liaison between the Faculty Representative and the Athletic Department.
Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
- Assumes responsibility for the overall operation of the athletic department in the absence of the Director of Athletics.
- Assists in administering the NCAA Division II Intercollegiate athletics program for 10 male and 12 female teams, and four varsity sports.
- Assists the Director in monitoring and coordinating all day-to-day aspects of the Intercollegiate Athletic Programs.
- Meet with head coaches on a regular basis to monitor progress of each individual program.
- Plans, organizes and schedules weekly practice schedules for all athletic teams with appropriate input, i.e., input from other coaches.
- Represents the College at Conference, local, state and national meetings.
- Serves ECC as an administrative support committee member
- Assists the Compliance Director and the Director of Athletics in preparing and submitting to appropriate personnel the completed Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA) and NCAA reports as requested.
- Assists Director in providing Strategic Oversight for athletic department and administrative support units (athletic training, strength and conditioning)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred, preferably in physical education, recreation or related field
- Knowledge of NCAA rules/regulations
- Min 4 years’ coaching experience
- Min. 1 year administrative experience in college/university environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across cultural boundaries and work harmoniously with diverse groups of students, faculty and staff
- General knowledge of rules and/or experience officiating a sporting activity
- Ability to advise/motivate student athletes

St. Thomas Aquinas seeks a motivated individual for a Facilities & Operations Manager/Head Women’s Volleyball Coach. Reporting to the Director of Athletics, this position combines two critical roles: managing athletic facilities and operations and leading the NCAA Division II Women’s Volleyball program. The Facility and Operations Manager oversees the planning, organization, and execution of home athletic events, ensuring compliance with regulations and a safe, welcoming environment. As Head Women’s Volleyball Coach, the role encompasses all aspects of developing a competitive program, from recruitment to fostering student-athlete success on and off the court.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Facility and Operations Management:
- Supervise, organize, and manage home athletic events to ensure smooth operations and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate staffing and serve as the primary liaison for game-day operations, including security, EMS, officials, and visiting teams.
- Submit and monitor maintenance work requests and handle purchases related to facilities and operations.
- Collaborate with STAC security and facilities staff to manage event logistics and safety.
- Assist with physical setup for practices and games, as well as hiring and training event staff.
Head Women’s Volleyball Coach:
- Lead all aspects of the NCAA Division II Women’s Volleyball program, including player recruitment, team development, and competitive performance.
- Create practice plans, game strategies, and conditioning programs to enhance team success.
- Oversee administrative responsibilities such as maintaining rosters, managing budgets, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional rules.
- Foster a positive environment that supports academic achievement, sportsmanship, and player development.
- Represent STAC in NCAA and conference meetings and serve on committees as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in physical education or recreation).
- Minimum of 4 years of coaching experience and at least 1 year of administrative experience in a college or university environment.
- Valid driver’s license with eligibility to drive a college van.
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultural boundaries.
- General knowledge of sports rules and officiating experience preferred.
- Proven ability to advise and motivate student-athletes.
- Marketing and fundraising experience is a plus.
- Budget management experience is desirable.
- Proficiency with computer skills and adaptability to new technologies.
- Excellent report writing, business correspondence, and public speaking abilities.

SUPPORT STAFF POSITIONS
St. Thomas Aquinas College seeks a motivated and experienced Women’s Flag Football Coach to lead and develop its new club women’s flag football program. The Head Coach for Women’s Flag Football at St. Thomas Aquinas College oversees the administration, supervision, and management of the program in alignment with the college’s mission and within the parameters of institutional, and conference. The coach will lead all aspects of the program, ensuring academic and athletic success for student-athletes.

This position is responsible for providing a safe and efficient mode of transportation for the St. Thomas Aquinas College Community. Transportation will be coordinated using St. Thomas Aquinas College Vehicles. Individuals must maintain a flexible work schedule (shifts vary — days, evenings, nights and weekends).
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Drive a college owned or rented/leased vehicle, providing safe and efficient transportation.
- Provides information and other general assistance to the St. Thomas Aquinas College Community.
- Conduct a safety inspection of the assigned vehicle prior to operations and report any damage or issues.
- Maintain records of work performed: makes timely reports of incidents, accidents and unusual occurrences.
- Operates the assigned vehicle in accordance with applicable laws and college regulations.
- Operates the assigned vehicles and transports members of the St. Thomas Aquinas College Community and other authorized passengers as assigned to their destinations in a safe manner.
Qualifications:
