Our Responsibilities
The Alumni Board of Directors of the Alumni Association (the “Alumni Board”) shall be the governing body and shall carry out its mission and policies. To the extent feasible, the Alumni Board should be representative of the range of degree programs awarded by St. Thomas Aquinas College and reflect the geographic, class year, and career diversity of its alumni. To reach these goals the Alumni Board will utilize many of the items below to accomplish the goals of the association:
- Act as the liaison between the alumni community and the St. Thomas Aquinas College campus and leadership
- Establish programs necessary to carry out the mission of the Alumni Association
- Oversee affinity groups of academic/special interest and regional network of St. Thomas Aquinas College alumni ambassadors
- Refer potential student applicants to St. Thomas Aquinas College
- Promote engagement in all alumni and disseminate information to the alumni community at-large.
- Assist with all aspects of fund raising for the College
Alumni Board Membership
The Alumni Board shall consist of no less than seven (7) members, but no more than twenty four (24) members. This includes the Officers of the Alumni Board (4), and up to twenty (20) at-large members. In addition, the Alumni Board may include four (4) ex-officio members. Elections will be held for open board positions when current members leave the board or as terms of office expire.
