Outside Scholarships | St. Thomas Aquinas College

In addition to institutional and government assistance, various private organizations, companies and foundations provide support for funding a college education. The Financial Aid Office maintains a listing of some of these external sources of aid. Students and their families also are urged to explore funding from organizations in their local community. If you have any questions regarding any of these scholarships, foundations or grants, you can contact the Student Financial Aid Office at 845-398-4042.

Young Latinas Leadership Institute (YLLI)

The 100 Hispanic Women National, Inc. Young Latinas Leadership Institute (YLLI) Scholarship was created to prepare young Latinas to succeed academically and professionally, make social change, and meet the challenges of leading in the 21st Century. YLLI provides eligible candidates in 4-year degree-seeking programs with an annual tuition scholarship award of $1,000 in each undergraduate year. Scholarships are competitive, and we encourage you to apply.

PHOENIXX PHOUNDATION INC – STAC STUDENTS ONLY

Description

The Phoenixx Phoundation Inc.

Are you a sophomore, junior or senior whose parent or guardian is being treated for breast, colon or pancreatic cancer and you need help with tuition and other college expenses? The Phoenixx Phoundation offers a grant for $500 each year to qualifying students. Once you receive the grant you will continue to receive the grant as long as you are an undergraduate in good academic standing with the school. BUSINESS SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarship	Description
Soliant’s Sunrise Scholarship	A one-time educational scholarship of $1,000 to a student who best answers the question presented.
Business Studies Scholarship	The Business Studies Scholarship program aims to reward deserving students $2000 in scholarships. They will be accepting applications from January 1 to May 1 and June 1 to November 1 annually.

COMPUTER SCIENCE SCHOLARSHIPS

Rapid Seedbox	RapidSeedbox is motivated to help students who are dedicated to pursuing their dream to be computer engineers and help to improve the world with forward-thinking technology, therefore, we hold a $1000 merit-based scholarship twice a year for students pursuing their passions.

EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarship	Description
Help Teaching	A platform focused on providing high-quality resources for teachers, tutors, homeschool parents, and others who work in the field of education, offers a new scholarship for students in high school and college.
Future Teacher and Early Childhood Education Scholarship	A $1,000 academic scholarship for students pursuing a degree in teaching or early childhood education.

SCIENCE SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarship	Description
Medical Billing Service’s Annual Health and Technology Scholarship	To write a 1,000-word essay exploring the relationship between health and technology. Marking: We are judging this based on personality, overall writing skill, and passion. Award is for $1000.
T3 Stem Cell Annual Scholarship	T3 Stem Cell has been proud to offer a yearly scholarship award to one college-bound or currently-enrolled college student. In an effort to encourage continuing education and motivation for success, R3 Stem Cell will now make it a regular annual opportunity for one student each year to obtain this $1500 scholarship.

STEM SCHOLARSHIPS

NYS STEM	The NYS STEM Incentive Program provides a full SUNY tuition scholarship to the top 10 percent of students in each NYS high school if they pursue a STEM degree in an associate’s or bachelor’s degree program and agree to live in NYS and work in a STEM field in NYS for five years after graduation.
RevPart’s 2020 Spring STEM Scholarship	RevPart is proud to support the next generation of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) students by providing a scholarship of $1,000 to a student demonstrating excellent promise in their area of study.

VETERAN SCHOLARSHIPS

GENERAL SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarship	Description
Mann Lake Scholarship	We are looking for academically excellent students who are in pursuit of better education and currently/about to be enrolled in a major in environmental sciences/other related studies. Send your essay responses using the guidelines outlined on the website. Following December 31, 2024, our team will select the best essay and notify the winner via email. The winner must respond within seven days, or another winner will be chosen. The scholarship awardee will be chosen based solely on the quality of their essay submission. No other requirements, such as GPA scores or academic transcripts, are necessary.
Abbot & Fenner Scholarship	The A & F Scholarships are available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any accredited post secondary institution, between the ages of 16 and 30. To apply for this scholarship you will need to write an essay on a suggested topic. Your submissions must be sent by email to scholarships@abbottandfenner.com.

PCB Solutions	“Chuan Ai Lu Engstrom Memorial Scholarship Contest.” The winner selected will receive a $1000 scholarship to the college of their attendance.
SAGE Scholars Tuition Rewards Program	St. Thomas Aquinas College is an active participant and member in the Tuition Rewards Scholarship Program, coordinated nationally by the independent organization SAGE Scholars. SAGE stands for Savings And Growth for Education (SAGE). The unique program operates like a frequent flyer rewards program — but for college tuition! By investing or saving with participating banks, credit unions, 529 Plans and other financial institutions, family members can earn “points” (similar to frequent flyer miles) to provide family members with guaranteed minimum scholarships at a national consortium of participating independent colleges, including STAC. The Tuition Rewards scholarships are provided regardless of the income or assets of the Student or the Student’s family. The Sponsor must submit the Student’s Tuition Rewards statement to STAC at the time the Student applies for admission. This is done by the Sponsor by logging onto the “Account Statement” page at www.tuitionrewards.com and forwarding the information to STAC roughly concurrent with the Student’s application. Statements submitted after STAC has prepared a financial aid package for the student may invalidate use of Tuition Rewards.

Since Fall 2022, Daniel R. Bacalis, P.C. has offered a scholarship of $1,000 each semester to a single parent who is returning to school to pursue a college degree.
