MENTAL HEALTH EMERGENCY & CRISIS ASSISTANCE
FOR STUDENTS
If you are having thoughts of harming yourself and/or another individual(s):
During Normal College Operating Hours: Contact Counseling & Psychological Services (845-398-4065). If no one is available, contact Campus Safety (854-398-4080) or dial 911.
After Hours: Contact Campus Safety (854-398-4080) or dial 911.
FOR FACULTY/STAFF
If a mental health emergency arises during normal College operating hours, contact Counseling & Psychological Services (845-398-4065) and/or Campus Safety (854-398-4080). After hours, contact Campus Safety or 911 for assistance. If a student is actively suicidal, do not leave him or her alone. Send someone for help to notify Campus Safety. If you believe that a student poses a threat to another individual(s), notify Campus Safety or dial 911 IMMEDIATELY. If you have any questions about a situation, please call Counseling & Psychological Services for assistance. ALWAYS ERR ON THE SIDE OF CAUTION.
IMPORTANT
There is no guarantee that a Counseling & Psychological Services staff will be available during or outside of normal College business hours. Should a crisis or emergency situation arise and Counseling & Psychological Services staff is not available, students on campus are encouraged to call Campus Safety at 845-398-4080 or 911 for emergency support.
