2026 Commencement UPDATE
An Important Message from the Provost on 5/13:
Hello everyone,
Here is an important update about the 69th Commencement Ceremony:
1. DATE CHANGE
Unfortunately, the weather forecast calls for significant rain for most of Thursday, so our 69th Commencement Ceremony will be held on Friday, May 15 at 2:00pm.
NOTE: The Class of 2026 After-Party Appreciation Night will still be held after an outdoor ceremony on Friday.
2. LOCATION ANNOUNCEMENT
We are still tracking Friday’s weather to determine the best, safest location for the Commencement. We will send out notification on tomorrow morning at 11:00AM regarding where the Commencement will be held, whether outdoors at Clover Stadium or indoors on campus in Aquinas Hall.
NOTE: No matter where it is held, the Commencement will be at 2:00pm.
IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT AN INDOOR EVENT
- Remember that if the ceremony is indoors in the Aquinas Hall gym, we will strictly limit attendance in the gym to two tickets per graduating student due to space limitations.
- These tickets are free and you will receive instructions via email.
- There will be locations on campus for overflow viewing.
- We will livestream the event. (See below for the livestream link information.)
3. BACCALAUREATE MASS
Please note that the timing and location of the Baccalaureate Mass has not changed. The Mass will be held today, Wednesday, May 13 at 4:30pm in the Sacred Heart Chapel on the grounds of the Dominican Sisters of Sparkill Convent. No tickets are required and all are welcome! And don’t forget about the Class of 2026 Champagne Toast in the Romano Center after the Mass.
4. PLEASE CHECK EMAIL
Please continue to check your email, the website, and social media for any Commencement updates and decisions.
Be well,
Dr. Murray
Our 69th Commencement Ceremony will be held on Friday, May 15 at 2:00 PM!
