The Application Process & Eligibility

The Aquinas Leaders Program is open to new freshmen entering college as full-time students in the Fall semester. Students who apply to St. Thomas Aquinas College will be considered for the Program during the application review process. Applicants who meet the following criteria will be considered: 

  • High school grade point average of 3.4 or above in major subjects at the time of application
  • Evidence of substantial involvement in extracurricular activities in school or the community (club membership, volunteer experience, sports, etc.)
  • Leadership potential and a desire to contribute to the St. Thomas Aquinas College Community

Aquinas Leaders Program Requirements and Optional Opportunities

  • Leadership – Participate in the Leadership & Skills Immersion Program and become a member of the National Student Leadership Society 
  • Service – Participate in community service events and activities on and off campus
  • Career Programming – Attend Signature STAC Chats with premiere guest speakers and Job and Internship Fairs on campus
  • Career Education – Enroll in Career-focused courses, including STAC 102 and 201 and Business Communication to enhance your professional skill set
  • Experiential Learning – Submit priority applications for on campus internships, receive priority registration for credit-bearing skills workshops, participate in “Ignite” – the art, design and scholarship exhibition

Students admitted into the Aquinas Leaders Program will receive detailed information about requirements, schedules, opportunities from The Career Center.
