The BA in Biology is an interdisciplinary degree between the biological sciences and liberal arts programs. This degree provides students with the opportunity to combine a strong foundation in the biological sciences, allowing more flexibility for students to pursue courses in other fields for a truly interdisciplinary experience and to take advantage of the diverse course offerings in the humanities and social sciences.
Course Requirement Definitions:
Elective Requirement: Additional courses necessary to earn enough credits for a degree outside of Major and STAGE requirements.
First Year Seminar (FYS): Introductory course to the academic experience, emphasizing the skills necessary for academic success.
Major Requirement: Courses are core to this major and are subject matter-specific.
